SMC Meeting & Lunch: Cargo Theft & Fraud

Description

The team from Alliant Insurance will join the Georgia Trucking Association Safety Council to discuss the growing threat of cargo theft and freight fraud. As criminal activity becomes increasingly organized, technology-driven, and sophisticated, trucking companies must understand where their operations may be vulnerable.

Attendees will learn how tactics such as fictitious pickups, double brokering, identity fraud, account takeovers, and forged documents exploit weaknesses throughout the supply chain. The program will also explore practical strategies for strengthening carrier verification, monitoring high-value freight, managing partner risk, improving employee awareness, and meeting insurers’ expectations for documented risk controls.
